Recently, plots 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the shantytown renovation project in Shatinggang New Community, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, undertaken by GMC Engineering Business Unit, were preliminarily accepted. So far, the residential plots and supporting buildings of the Shatinggang Project have completed the preliminary acceptance, marking the upcoming final acceptance.
As a key livelihood project at the provincial and municipal levels, the Shatinggang Project is located at the junction of Shating Village and Xiejiazhuang Village in Taihe Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. The project covers a total land area of about 496,000 square meters (744 mu), offering a total floor area of about 687,000 square meters and a supporting infrastructure construction area of 317,700 square meters.
The Shatinggang Project was also selected as one of the first batch of intelligent construction pilot projects in Guangdong Province announced by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province. The project has made great efforts in promoting the wide application of "BIM + information-based technology" to build a smart construction site and accelerate construction speed. As a result, it made high records of topping out the first batch of main structures 15 days in advance and achieving a monthly output value of more than RMB 250 million.
Depending on the wide application of digital design and smart green construction, the Shatinggang Project has successively won multiple awards such as the First-class Achievements of the 3rd CIC BIM Competition, the Class I Case of the 7th Construction Enterprise Information-based Construction Cases, the Second Prize of the 2nd "New Infrastructure Cup" China Intelligent Construction and BIM Application Competition, and the Third Prize of the 10th "Longtu Cup" National BIM Competition.
In the next step, the project will make every effort to prepare for the final acceptance to make sure an early delivery, and further improve the living conditions and quality of life for the people.
