When delivering his speech, Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal sincerely thanked China's generosity and expressed that the Civil Service Hospital has stood as a symbol of deep and close Nepal-China cooperation and China's continued support to Nepal has helped his country develop infrastructure, medical services, people's well-being, and other fields. He hoped that Nepal and China as each other's neighbors, good friends and trustworthy partners can forge an even closer and deeper partnership in medical technology and other aspects.
Addressing the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song noted that China has now embarked on a new journey to build itself into a modern socialist country in all respects, and Nepal is also on the path to graduating from the least developed countries and achieving UN 2030 sustainable development goals. "We have every reason to expect, as fellow travelers on the journey of development, our bilateral relations and practical cooperation will bring more concrete benefits to the two peoples," Chen said.
Huang Wei, a representative of GMC and general manager of GMC's subsidiary CRTIA, said in his speech that the project of the Civil Service Hospital upgraded and reconstructed with Chinese aid in Nepal is a shining example of how GMC actively responds to the national Belt and Road Initiative and contributes to consolidating and promoting the traditional friendship between China and Nepal. In the future, GMC will continue to play its role as a Global Fortune 500 company in contributing to Nepal's endeavor to realize its vision of "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Upgrading and reconstructing the Civil Service Hospital is one of the 25 projects promised by China after the 2015 earthquake in Nepal to help with the reconstruction. GMC always attaches great importance to the quality of construction and the capacity of contract fulfillment. This new-type urban general hospital in Nepal's capital Kathmandu, which boasts reasonable functions, an efficient mechanism, advanced equipment, and a beautiful environment, has provided a prime example. It has not only effectively demonstrated the quality of China-aided foreign projects, but also witnessed the friendship between China and Nepal and laid a solid foundation for the two countries to promote closer cooperation and mutual trust.
