Guangzhou Gymnasium, located at the foot of Baiyun Mountain, is a comprehensive large-scale public building with sports competitions as its main function and art performances, conferences and exhibitions as its other functions. It covers an area of 240,000 square meters with a total construction area of 72,208 square meters. The project started on June 10, 1999 and was completed on November 8, 2001.
